Siamak “Mak” Yari
Mr. Yari is a Professional Engineer (PE) with extensive experience with municipal public utilities, working for the Gainesville Department of Water Resources for over 20 years. In Gainesville, Mr. Yari served as a Technical Services Engineer, Technical Services Manager, and Engineering and Planning Section Chief and Divisions Manager. His area of expertise includes financial and master planning of public utility infrastructure. He has experience in the utility permitting process and in obtaining loans from State agencies.
Ms. Barreto has extensive experience in analysis of learning needs and systematic development of instruction. She has developed over 200 courses in the areas of criminal justice, healthcare, college accounting, business, psychology, and general education. Ms. Barreto has a strong background in Web-based instructional delivery. She has provided faculty, businesses, and colleges with the necessary tools to develop and implement training programs in both synchronous and asynchronous Virtual Learning Environments.
Mr. Sills is the Principal Planning Consultant of Nelsnick Enterprises Incorporated. He has twenty (20) years of professional experience, which includes collection and analysis of data for various local government and public utility planning studies. These include comprehensive plans, storm water fee calculation, water and sewer cost of services analysis, capital improvements planning, impact fee calculations, revenue sufficiency analysis, water system business plans, connection fee calculations and development of financial planning models using Microsoft Excel.
Ms. Afonso has experience in administrating office functions and enhancing workflow/process. At Nelsnick, she has managed the implementation of new programs, reorganized departments, developed and implemented short and long-term organizational strategies while promoting positive change in Nelsnick’s culture, mission and strategic alignment. Ms. Afonso has a strong background in international trade, which has introduced her to aspects of logistics and regulatory issues in international/domestic commerce scenarios.
